I've made a number of carbon fiber step models, but have finally settled on this best one! Made from a discarded aircraft spar and other cut-off scraps...glued together with expired(but in reality still good enough) methacrylate...weighing in at 4 oz. It is very solid even on a smooth barkless pine log.20220701_173206.jpg20220701_173231.jpg20220701_173212.jpg20220704_165743.jpg20220701_173256.jpg20220701_173206.jpg20220701_173206.jpg20220701_173231.jpg20220701_173212.jpg20220704_165743.jpg20220701_173212.jpg20220701_173256.jpg

Are you using your tourniquet method with them? They look great and are certainly light!

Very cool, thanks for sharing. Are they slick when wet?

Not totally sure yet, but the bag side(rough/bumpy side) is facing up so they aren't smooth but will spray them down and test....I was gonna spray the tops with rubber paint as well though.
