Welcome from Arkansas
Welcome I live inSw PA also. Been saddle hunting a longtime. I have 3 different saddles that I use. You can learn a lot on this siteHi guys, Been lurking on here since the fall when I stumbled on it from the beast. Have to say it's been a game changer! I hunt pretty much 100% run n gun on public land and always thought my system of using a lonewolf+spurs was king until I found this place. Converted to Sit drag and xop platform for late season and was instantly in love. Now have kestrel and will be waiting on tethrd.
The information on this forum and videos from g2outdoors, DaveT1963 and flinginairos made it a seamless switch. I admire the innovation and level of detail that you guys put into every peice of gear. Just want to say a big thanks!
You are correct they are not legal.welcome to the site
Not legal on public land and are only legal on private land with the permission of the landowner. No I have never encountered a game warden, I honestly do not know if they are legal/illegal. I just take certain percuations like cleaning off the gaffs and not climbing a certain tree more than twice a year. I've noticed older trees that I've climbed always healed up. The puncture is just a small triangle around 3/8 deep, sometimes far less damage than a stick would do.
Nice! I agree such a wealth of info on this site I really enjoy it. What kind of saddle's so you run?Welcome I live inSw PA also. Been saddle hunting a longtime. I have 3 different saddles that I use. You can learn a lot on this site
Just curious.. Is that just your interpretation of our regulations or have you heard that from the PGC? Not looking to argue the regs just interested if anyone has ever been told a definitive yes or no from the law.Not legal on public land and are only legal on private land with the permission of the landowner.
I have a kestrel, Guido's web and a Treesuit. Soon to get a mesh saddle . Not sure if it's going to be a Mantis or a Kestrel. I also use ameristep on a ratchet strap for my platform but I'm interested the Predator platform from Tethrd Nation.Nice! I agree such a wealth of info on this site I really enjoy it.
