I haven't investigated the coated platforms but I paid full price in-store for a sharp uncoated platform... rush job.

I thought “Hunters Specialties” was coming out with a “Butt Out 3 Big Game Dressing Tool”, but their release really turned into a poop show after they teased a carbon fiber model called “The Space Invader” at the ATA show. (Some people really puckered up with that one!). Things got messy around Butt-head-quarters mid-year when they had to recall several of the “Butt Out 2” models due to burrs and sharp edges that turned into a PITA for some users. The latest color scheme of GEN 3 (only $69) detracted everyone from their ongoing circus with their tools and they successfully shifted the market focus onto their newly released meconium-colored backpack. Apparently some “industry insiders” are upset about how it appears to be a copy-cat rip-off of their product, but quite frankly I think that’s crap.

If there’s no rebuttal to the GEN 3 model by next season I may have to snag one of those.

I heard from an industry insider that they were being too anal about the final fit and finish for the GEN 3 Butt Out/Space Invader to get released in time for this season...

Anyone try this saddle?
 
When is someone gonna make a saddle that the leg loops connect down and away from the belt and bridge loops? Like halfway down to the crotch. I love my Cruzr xc but I absolutely hate having to fish for the top of the leg loop connection up under all the other stuff.

Doesn't any saddle with molle webbing on the bottom of the saddle and ghooks on the leg straps have that option?

I could be wrong but I bet it has something to do with how that leg strap configuration would affect the results of drop testing...
 
Did you pull the trigger @enkriss? I saw you commucated with them on FB. I'm also intrigued. Did they indicate any sort of lead time? I'm not afraid to buy one, but not wanting to wait forever.

It has zero similarities with the Cruzr XC. More like a highly modified Anderson sling.

I'm going to grab 1 or 2 to test them out. I like the design and concept. Hopefully the material is durable.

Edit: I will add I'm not going to get the entire system, just the mount. I don't need a laser to help me aim my cameras. I also think amsteel would be better than 550 paracord for an attachment cord.

Rephrased...it looks like a fully deployed CRUZR XC. Which if you like the fold feature you're not gonna like this one worn walking in
