Not only am I new to saddle hunting, this is only my 2nd year hunting! I picked up a used PSE Stinger with a 3 pin sight, and have been shooting countless arrows from 20/30/40 yards. Last season, I didn't take it very seriously, and also my summit viper was just so darn big and heavy for someone who is 5'6 150. This season, I've scouted areas, I've taken my kayak down to some places that's a bit difficult by foot, and can definitely say that I love my Tethrd Phantom so far from practicing! Can't wait for Monday to come around. Also would love some just general hunting tips.

Welcome from Georgia!

I would say you've come to the right place for hunting tips. I will leave that for the skilled hunters. I've been deer hunting off and on for years but got seriously focused on waterfowl for a while and just got back serious about deer.

Welcome from coastal NC!!! And need more details like where you hunt(public or private) and what kind of terrain features? I see you are already using your kayak to access places which is a very good tactic!!!

Welcome from West Boylston. Actually in the same boat as you. Second year hunting and first in the saddle. Good luck when the season opens in a few days.

Welcome! I'm from eastern MA too. I am also new to Saddle hunting and bow hunting, but have been rifle hunting on foot and in ladder stands for 10 or 11 years in Maine. Are you North or south MA?
