New Tribe Aero Hunter Evolution

Is there a discount for saddlehunter members at New tribe? I was going to order one online and it asks for a discount code or a redemption code. Any discount would help right now.

No there isn't.

My long awaited Aero Hunter Evolution showed up today, I have been a saddle hunter for many, many years and I was actually on the Tree Saddle pro staff when they were still in business. All of my study on the new Evolution has had me very excited about getting my hands on one. First impression was good as I took it out of the bag, very compact. I have actually been experimenting with going to the rope system in favor of the Tree Saddle style straps and I am still on the fence with it. The new Aero Hunter seems to have almost an excessive amount of adjustments and straps. I took my time and tried to get a good feel for everything before I put it on a tree. I put it all together and climbed the tree, right away I was disappointed. The sides seem to pull in much more than what I a used to and while it does seem to add back support that my Tree Saddle does not provide, I did not feel comfortable in it at all. I climbed down took it off and went back to read the directions again. I re adjusted the side tension and leg straps and climbed back up and while it was better than before I am still very disappointed, no were as user friendly and comfortable as my old Tree Saddle. Im going to try it once more in the morning before I call New Tribe, from what I had read and seen and the $ 399 price, I am very disappointed at this point and time.

Welcome to the site!

I understand what you are going through right now. I was a tree saddle user for years and I had the exact same thoughts when I got my evolution. When you first put it on, all the of straps and adjustments are OVERWHELMING! Then I hopped in and I was not comfortable. That was in July. I spent an hour in a tree in my backyard tweaking the straps. I got it to the point where it was just ok. I spent the rest of the summer wearing it in to setup a couple trees and hang for a little bit to get used to it. At that point I felt it was at least equal to the comfort of my tree saddle, so I was going to hunt with it. During the first week of my season I still worked on tweaking it to improve the comfort. My first big aha moment was when I shortened the bridge as short as it could go. That made a huge difference for me. My biggest aha moment was when I got the leg straps adjusted properly. I'm calling this the "sweet spot". When I got to the sweet spot I had a level of comfort that I never had in the tree saddle. I started out with the leg straps loose because I didn't like the pressure they were putting on my legs but it would slide up my bag just like the tree saddle would. So one day I fooled around with the leg straps while in the tree and I found there is a point before they apply too much pressure where it really provides a lot of support under your legs. I have not had to make any other adjustments since I originally set it up, the only thing I still fool with day to day is the leg straps because it seems I need to tweak them to maintain comfort.

I hope this helps and I would suggest hanging in there and giving it some time. Let us know if you have any problems and we'll try to work through them.

BOY AM I GLAD I GAVE IT SOME TIME ! I WAS SAYING THE SAME THINGS AS YOU. WAS REAL CLOSE TO SENDING IT BACK. IT TOOK SOME TIME BUT AM FINALLY ABLE TO GET SOME COMFORT. LASTED 6 HOURS THIS MORNING. THE YOU TUBE VIDEOS ARE VERY HELPFUL. TRY GETTING THE TREE STRAP AS HIGH AS YOU CAN THIS HELPED ME A LOT. ADJUSTING THE LEG STRAPS WAS MY NEXT PROBLEM. TRY THEM ALL THE WAY IN BOTH DIRECTIONS AND GRADUALLY SHORTEN THEM UNTIL IT FEELS RIGHT. I THOUGHT THE BRIDGE WOULD BE MORE COMFORTABLE IN A LONGER LENGTH BUT HAVE SINCE SHORTENED IT. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT SO GIVE IT SOME TIME.
GOOD LUCK,
bowhunterchuck
