NHL playoffs?

I haven't noticed that. I'll have to pay closer attention...seems half the time I miss the national anthem for one reason or another. Tough to control fans. That's why I despise going to Milwaukee Brewer's games. Can't stand all the drunk idiots. Definitely not a place to bring kids in my opinion. On a positive note, at least the players in the NHL aren't kneeling during the national anthem...yet.

I’m usually the hockey guy at work and I found out through some other dude about 2 hours after the news broke. I don’t know how the heck I missed it. I feel like my soul came back into my body as a Wings fan lol. Best news since they won the cup in 08.
 
I was watching The Tigers-White Sox game and that’s all they talked about for the first 3 innings, even had an interview with Gardenhire about it. I bet half the crowd had on Stevey Y jerseys on
 
What a crazy first round that was. It looks to be wide open from here. I'm thinking the Sharks come out of the West and CBJ emerges from the East. I think the Sharks win the cup.

Even when the Pens are out I still love the playoffs. At least the Caps lost too. The only remaining team on my strongly root against list is the Bruins, I am pretty ok with all the remaining teams.
 
Playoff hockey is so intense. I can't think of any other sport where the level steps up so much at playoff time.

Edit: I always used to say when the Wings would get eliminated that I could actually enjoy the hockey now. My TV felt a lot safer from "random" flying objects as well:smiley:.
