NutterBuster's 5.5lb Saddle Hunting Rig

Need to change your name from nutterbuster to jibberjabber

38 mins and that’s part 1, hahaha

Really enjoyed the videos. I really like hearing what has and hasnt worked for guys that have been doing this longer than I.

Quick question regarding the kestrel buckle and leg strap modifications. Would like to hear your thought process regarding only having the one buckle on the kestrel, and it being a plastic on at that. What were your thoughts when you made that decision? I know it’s no load bearing, but do you have any worries anout that being the only thing keeping to in the saddle? Thanks.

I'm also thinking about cutting off my Kestrel leg straps so for the time being I attached them together on the back of my saddle out of the way, if I don't miss them they are coming off.

Looks like you have yourself a very well thought out system for what works best for you. I heard you say that you try to shy away from hunting places that bolts aren't legal, but if you cant use bolt you mentioned WE steps. Is that your "secondary" climbing method? Or are you looking for something else?

Great videos. I'm planning to replace my 12-year-old bow this winter, and interested in your views on bows.

I do strongly prefer to hunt with my bolts, but I will climb with the wild edge steps if I cannot use them. I like them much better than sticks, but I would like to find something better. Been thinking about cranfords or some other strap-on step for a while now. If I ever find something I like, I'll definitely be letting you guys know.

I've been trying to figure out how I'm going to approach my bow video. Thanks for all the feedback ya'll given me. l think I want to cover a little bit of "bow anatomy and theory" since that plays into my recommendations for deer hunters. Trying to enlist the help of an old friend who knows more than me. Definitely working on it.

Thanks for sharing your saddle hunting kit. After the video I will definitely look into the tubular webbing bridge/tether and the pin on compass is a great idea.
