Off season hog hunting contest

I arrowed this sow from a saddle on January 2nd. Not gonna win any hog weight contests in Hawaii, they’re a bit smaller in the islands. She’s probably 80 pounds.

How are you guys getting your hogs to a scale? I don’t drag anything over 100 pounds anymore!

There’s a way to get a close estimate weight using a tape measure. Let me find the post about it and I’ll link it

This is from Todd Huey on Lonestar boars. He’s killed thousands of hogs so if there’s anyone I’d trust about estimating weight on hogs it’s him

That’s what I would do. Still trying to make myself get in a saddle again. I like to walk around all night checking fields instead of staying in one spot. Once I get my bow tuned up I’ll be up a tree for sure

I feed them so much they better be big, I made a deal with the produce manager at a grocery store to give me all their expired fruits. Honestly I like hog hunting more than deer hunting, the lease I’m on gives actually pays me for hog hunting every year. I average 30-40 every summer

My buddie’s cousin killed this one in Brownwood TX. Says it bottomed out a 500# scaleView attachment 25979

I love hog hunting too, the cool thing is......... every one is a shooter!!!

Got another one tonight. Food plot in a thicket so I was hunting off of a stool instead of a saddle. 190 pounds according to my scale

I did, he taped right around 39”/39.25” which put it between 190-195 or so
