I’m a 365 a day always thinking of deer hunter. I’m either scouting, planning, fiddling with equipment, talking about it, trying to improve anything I can( whether that be equipment or approach). If I’m not doing that then I’m probably Bowfishing or just fishing. Even then I’ll stop and check the shore for sign, tracks, trails, crossings, etc.. I also like to try different things with my equipment like organization on my pack for more efficient/quicker/ and quieter hunts. Just curious what others do and if I’m just too obsessed!! Lol! :tonguewink:

Golf, turkey hunting and scouting. Would like to go to tac this year and do some other 3D shoots but that will be dependent on time. I’ve got a nice course to go to about an hour away so spend some time there for sure

I occasionally engage in some predator control on a ranch but for the most part all of my free time is consumed by family activities. Two kids in soccer, one kid in swimming, one kid in robotics and both taking music lessons. I don’t know why I even own a home we’re hardly there. Should just sell it and buy an RV.

I can relate. I’m lucky enough my kids are now older. My daughter got married last June and my son graduates college this year!! I remember those days of go-go-go! Appreciate it while you can, it goes by fast!!

Family activities, especially in Dec/Jan/Feb as my oldest shows pigs. (She took reserve grand champ on Friday night with a killer Hampshire)
Waterfowl, turkeys, cattle, shoot a good bit of sporting clays, kayak fish in the summer a bit. There's always something to do.

I spend my time studying maps and scouting. Think my wife will scream if I show her one more potential hunt site with my detailed plans to set up for success. Then of course boots on the ground to confirm what my recon has suggested. I try to get in at least 8 hours a week in the woods.

• Nuisance beaver trapping
• Predator hunting
• Firewood (my home’s exclusive heat source)
• Post season Scouting- this is my favorite time to solidify current hunting areas and finding new bucks
• Spring gobbler hunting with archery tackle
• Volunteer hunter/bowhunter/trapping instructor
• Home improvement projects
• 3D Archery
• Tinkering with archery tackle
For myself and friends/family
• Practice saddle climbing and monkeying with saddle gear
Honestly though, in the back of my mind, everything is about bowhunting for mature whitetails
