Official Team 6 Thread

Negative...it will likely be a week or 2 before I manage to get out.

We saw a 50 degree drop overnight...it's killing me to not be out there right now!

We had the same here in Indiana. Has me itching to use some occurrences at work

Good luck @Guff Dawg . Hope to get my first sit in this Sunday too wish I had the chance to sit tonight or this morning because of the temperature drop.

I’m glad we are on the board! I tried on Friday night but the only thing I bagged was recovering a stolen vehicle that was dumped on the property. How many points is that worth?

I'm headed back to Ohio on Thursday night for a long weekend hopefully I can spill some blood for Team 6

Did you spot the car from the saddle @mudminnow ?

My first sit yesterday was a bust. Apparently living next to public land makes some people think they can let their dog run loose without looking out for it.... Too bad the owner is an idiot because the dog was actually pretty cool just not good for hunting with lol. The other neighbours must assume all the barricades and signs saying no ATV'S must be for everyone but them?... Frustrating first sit. Made better though I guess by being way more comfortable than I was in a hang on. I glimpsed what I believe was the back of a deer which quickly left because of the dog.. That was it.

.

Nope, on the way in. Called the police and waited for them. I got set up an hour late and right when the sun was going down and the time was getting right, the tow truck showed up honking horns and beeping while in reverse. The deer I saw were going 90mph from the bedding area to another property

Doe down. That’s 5 points eh?!

DO IT!!!!!! Good luck

All right, all right, all right!!

It's hammer time in Alabammer! First chance to actually do some damage on the deer herd. Bucks only, which is weak sauce, but it do be that way.

Here's the rundown.

Temp: 62*
Wind: Squirrelly
Conditions: clear and mild
Location: saddle on ridge that runs between creek and river swamp. Thick cover, and acorns dropping.
Strategy: I came in from the south by compass and memory. Most guys come from the east, through open hardwoods. It's a scenic place with a lot of deer sign that gets made at night. As the horde descends from the parking lot, the fauna moves across the creek to the ridge.

Coming from the south with hip boots through tupelo swamp means that hopefully as we type there are deer still feeding and meandering home. They bed on this ridge is the plan. There's always multiple rub lines, and I've jumped 3 bucks in past years along this roughly 300 yard section of slope.

I got in and up relatively quietly. First time ever sitting here. I have killed before though about 200 yards north and south.

I've also tally-whacked pigs here before. Not against that. Pigs are worth 20 points, right?

If this doesn't work, there's a front that should be peaking Sunday, and I'm off until Tuesday.

Get it done!

So the Bee has flown. I'm hoping the biggest of the three bucks that just came by is feeling a little whoozy.
Is this Nutterbuster for .... I just shot the biggest buck of the 3 that walked by? If so I hope the tracking is easy!

Can't wait for the update! Sounds like a good morning so far!

I try not to count chickens till they're carved into pack-out sized pieces. Good thing.

I killed hell-fire out of a little vine about the diameter of Paracord. My big, bad, 450+ grain arrow with 200 up front way lying sideways about 5ft in front of where he stood.

I waited almost an hour to climb down though. Strongly considering going back this evening to see if he'll agree to a rematch.
