What stick are y’all using this year?

I have a muddy pro, but I’m thinking of switching to one of Dano’s feather stick with the 2 step aider.

Switched to a 5 step etrier with tubular webbing girth hitched around the tree. No stick. Last year was hawk helium.

How’s the stability with no stick ? Are you having to use a linesman to assist you staying solid ?

I ditched the stick and am using my klemz platform instead. Should have done it years ago!

Is that similar to the lone wild hand climber ?

I dont use linesman unless I have to pass a branch or fork. If you grab directly below girth hitch, dig your toe into tree, its stable enough for me to climb comfortably, and only slightly slower than 1 stick with hawk helium.

Once you get too high to comfortably grab below girth hitch, I use my tether and/or just pull up on ropeman or advance tether. I really like it, once you put your ROS/platform on the tree you can fold up etrier and nothing below your platform to give you away.

Home brew stick with @DanO offset brackets and double steps. Platform is attached to the stick. Has a 1 step aider tied onto it.

Thought, at some point, you posted a pic. Does this rig have the scooter platform on it?
