One Sticking pouch storage options

I am putting together my 1 sticking set up with Rappel rope. I watched this video, and I thought his pouch set up was pretty nice, but might need some mods. Just looking for options for such a set up. A good and secure way to keep that rappel rope on your hip/side ready to go BUT not falling out either.

I saw this youtube video that showed 3 options. The Eberlestock option looks like a good way to go, but figure there is lots more ideas out there. He mentioned makers on facebook, so figured some might have tried out some of those options?

There was a dude that had the eberlestock one for sale in the classifieds:

There has been a youtube series by @always89y on making your own clone:

And there are several people making the clone to sale, one of them here, others have them a bit cheaper:

And I believe this is the OG thread on the roll pouch clone, if you look in that thread you can probably find others that are making them:

Instead of a roll pouch, I use a 12” gear tie wrapped through a molly loop on my saddle. Then just wind up the rope, double it over, and tie it on my side. Simple, easy and no extra stuff on my saddle.

Here is a picture from just before last season. I have since changed how I secure the gear tie, but it is essentially identical! FWIW!!!!

Have a Great Day.

I use a kifaru medium pullout for all my rappel stuff.

I dont like having a pouch on my saddle with my rappel rope in it, I do have dump pouch that holds a few things but its not to bulky and its placed behind me not on my side for everything to catch going thru the woods. Anyways I was using the water bottle pouch with a versa strap connected to it and wear it over my shoulder/neck going up the tree. Im now about to get the ewo satchel that I can use the same way.

Jwiggins, I can't seem to find the "ewo satchel", could you link us to it? Thanks!

I picked up a v3 outlaw sling and I've liked it so far messing around in my yard, I'm still in the testing phases to see how well it works in the long run, but I'm satisfied so far

I'm using a modified sys pouch with a wide strap that allows me to wear it above/over my saddle on the walk and then take it off to hunt. I find having it in the front on the walk in and to get my stuff out is really handy then slide it around to the side to climb. I can fit everything in for a normal hunt with the 2tc method. Basically everything but stick for onesticking.

This is similar to the battle belt method but I feel the slick strap is more compact with the ability to slide it where I want.

Would this work for rappel gear?

I have the fed chest rig. I wear it in. It’s not big enough for a rope. I keep my license, kill kit, call in it. I attached 2 side pockets for a gps and whatever else. I attached the bear spray holder on the bottom and will keep a water bottle there.

I keep a large pouch on my saddle for my rappel kit
