Definitely ^^^
Have you seen the way the no stick guy does it? He posted the video above. I basically do the same thing. I kinda get what your saying but I don’t see it as in the bracket I added causing me any problems. Every time I step up or at least when I get to my top step of aider I move up tether. Once I step on top of predator I move tether up agin. Yeah I do have to adjust my prusik with a little more slack when doing this. So I can reach down and get platform to reset. In my opinion why not use the predator to step on ? It reduces the about of moves of the tether and gets me that much higher. But I haven’t even climbed with this mod yet it’s raining here today hopefully can get out and test it out. To comment on what most people do don’t mean I’m doing it wrong either. As long as it’s being done in a safe manner that’s all that matters to me and all that should matter to most people. There are many different ways to skin a cat.The piece you are adding to the post makes it more stable but restricts the amount of slack you can remove during final setup. There is no need to stand on top of the predator. If you moved your tether up as far as you could you wouldn’t be able to reach the predator. Most one stick climbers don’t use the top step of their stick for the same reason.
Well here is finished project. Works great. Only movement I get now is the little play in the bushings where the platform and post connect no concern there for me. So the 4 dollar bracket from Lowe’s worked great. Big thanks to @bj139 for the links to Lowe’s and the ideas!! Appreciate it man!! Left bolts long for now figured they help dig in too. Mite have to cut them down eventually. Now for a cool paint job!

That’s funny you say that my buddy that was here said the same thing lolI'm glad you got it working well. I had an idea of grinding the bolts to points for additional grip.
Yeah no sticking!!!!!!!!! But correction
I obviously call it one sticking with predator!! Hence the name of post. Did you Patent the no stick climbing phrase? Lol Yeah I got the idea from you, posted above that I seen your video!!!!!!!!! But anyways no the wobble is definitely coming from not having any teeth on bottom of post. When standing on top of folded platform the bottom of the post rubs tree (posting picture). So Their new bracket isn’t going to fix it. Got it fixed up tho with that bracket I posted. Cutting teeth on it tomorrow and should work great. Will post pictures tomorrow of finished product.
(Picture of rubbing on bottom of post)
(Also pick of proposed teeth)

I'm always "no sticking" when I climb SRT. Bolts and strap on steps are another "no sticking" method. No didn’t brother copyrighting one sticking nor no sticking. Just used the obvious phrases to described the climbing methods I developed. Thought about going with platforming but no sticking sounded better!!!
After looking at the revised Tethrd standoff vs the bat wing, I agree don’t think it would stop the wobble. But I believe the batwing would stop the wobble based on the way it digs when using an aider. My post also hits the tree. View attachment 28022

Wouldn't that weaken the post by drilling it out?Why not just sharpen a bolt or two and put them right through the post? Either way I would think your loosing too much cam with this mod to get a solid set once at hunting height.

No play man it’s solid cams fine everything I needed it to do.Looks solid! Headed to HomeDepot tomorrow to get me one to mod... Is there any play in the ubolt side to side or is it tightened down enough where there is no play?
