Opinions on this for a deer cart on flat land areas

I hunt flat land 90% of the time and was wondering what people who have had extensive experience with game carts think of using this with the sides removed. I have zero experience with game carts just always dragged my deer to the road usually with help (90%) but now it is as likely as not I will be on my own getting a deer out of the woods and into my truck. Looks a whole lot more stable and easy to use but again I am basing my thoughts and looks alone not actual use. I have a ice fishing sled for wet or shallow flooded areas.

Hawk Crawler is the way to go!!! Little bulky and heavy but it goes over everything!! I’m 57 and knee replacement. I don’t go anywhere I’m hunting without it! Taken 3 deer out with it this year by myself!

After using several iterations of cart, landed on this. You'll thank me:

Got this for Christmas today. Early tests hauling kids around for fun indicate it will be the back saver 3000.

I have an old cart that's in good shape except for the axle area. The bearings had been shot for a long time and I didn't notice. Put at least two waterfowling seasons and a bunch of drags during deer seasons before I realized what was up.
It's been lying out back in the weather for a few years behind the house.

If it isn't in too bad of shape, I think I can buy a threaded rod, some square tubing, nuts, washers & bolts, and four wheels and make my own version of The Hawk Crawler. It'll probably look pretty bad compared to theirs, so I could get away with calling it The Creepy Crawler.

Wait there’s an actual sled for hunting? I’ve been using one of my kids sleds and not telling nobody.

I have both. Both have holes along the sides for routing your rope to tie your load down. I use mine for deer and firewood. The 66" Emsco sled is very heavy duty. I can lift the nose to set ut on the tailgate of my truck, then lift the other end to shove the deer in. Easiest way to load a deer that doesn't involve a winch.

Harbor Freight wheels, tires, and bearings ( all in one piece ) are $28 per. Don't really see the cost savings especially after I work up the mesh or 1000D Cordura hammock. So this would be a 'fun', just to do it, project.

Picked up a Hawk Crawler last week. Have used a 2 wheel Guide Gear cart for years. The Crawler is WAY better, and going to be a real back and leg saver. Looks like it should work really well in soggy/swampy land as well. Used the 2 wheeler in a swampy field a couple years ago, looked like I was trying to plow it. Basically drug it axle deep all the way out. The Crawler should stay on top better.

I Like a Sled Way Better Than a Cart! Easier to Store in Truck, Easier to Load in Truck W/Deer, No Blood Run Off in Truck. Bolted a steel flat across front for rope to go thru preventing a tear out. Also put tie ropes on sides to hold critter in.
