Oplux and Amsteel continuous loop

Couple weeks ago I put and eye to eye 7/64 amsteel piece on some 6mm TRC in a distel hitch. Works well but I want to try it with 1/8" as well for added strength and it would be a little easier to give slack when applying pressure to the top of the hitch simply because of the larger diameter. By the way anyone know where I can get some 1/8" Amsteel since dutchware has stopped shipping for the time being.

Ripstopbytheroll has 1/8” and is still open. And I just saw that DanO has all sizes of Amsteel now. I thought he only had 7/64” and 1/4”.

Come on man.... DanO is still open!

I also have some extra that I would be willing to sell or trade. Would love to trade for 3/16 Amsteel.
I didn't realize he added 1/8", it's not updated on the amsteel listing but if you click the drop down to select size the option is there. Right on, I will order from him.

Great question.

I made a 3/16" Amsteel Distel hitch this morning. It bites as good as the 1/8 continuous loop but break alot better. 3/16 amsteel also has a higher breaking strength at 5,400lbs.
What length did you start with and how much did you bury ? Thanks Ry
