Oplux / rescue tech | Custom length 7mm vt prusik from Bluewater ropes.

Yeah I am still in for 2 of them.

I have been following and would interested in a couple as well.

A couple for me also

Thanks for taking the reigns on this one. Count me in for 2 of these at a minimum.
Thanks!

I'm good for 2 as well.

Count me in for a couple shorter ones

Looks like 20 would be easy to get out there. Stay tuned...

I'm also thinking 24" would be a good compromise in length. Again, if you're using a 9mm tether/LB the extra length would be useful. Also, I like the Valdotain Tresse hitch on my tether, which takes a little more cord length than the distel, schwabisch, or michoacan hitches.

Definitely interested in one or maybe two if there is still a chance of this deal working out.

So a shade over 2 weeks ago I traded 3-4 emails with a guy at Bluewater and seemed like it was good to go, but since then its been radio silence lol. I sent an email about a week ago, and will continue to do so to see if I can make it happen. I told him I wanted 20-25, but could do more if there was demand, which I would expect there will be. There really is no available hitch cord with sewn connections available that will work well on 8mm ropes like Oplux or Resc Tech that I've been able to find. I've been using the 7mm VT cord but it's so long that it pretty much sits at the very top reach of my tether which I find suboptimal

If we are still able to do this I’ll actually take three.

Sent another email this week and still haven't had a response since the first day I was in contact with them... I'm going to give the guy a call this week and see if that get's me anywhere. Giving them the benefit of the doubt at this point, but sucks to have them respond and say yeah we can do it then just ghost me for a month.

Yeah that sucks. Let me know as I’m happy to do some legwork, too. I really like these ropes for autoblock and other fun tasks.

I'm late to the party, but I would be in for 1 also (for some 9.8 mm dynamic rope I just bought).

Does anyone sell just the cord by the foot?

I'm interested in this too. I'm considering buying the full sized one and then cutting the ends, but I hate to do all that and have it slightly too short and I just wasted 30 bucks.

It can be used with the eyes being stoppers, the legs are tied in back, with one eye inside the other. The screw link adds security and helps with pushing down on the hitch.

So randomly sent ANOTHER email to Bluewater on Monday and finally got a response from their sales manager after being ghosted for 5-6 emails, a couple of phone calls, and about 3 months etc. He indicated they were still willing to produce a shorter 24" 7mm VT prusik cord. I noted the other thread in which the Sterling 6mm TRC is available with sewn eyes now, but think that length (20") is too short for Valdotain Tresse, and some other hitches maybe. Hopefully Bluewater follows through and there will be some different options for folks to try and dial in their preferred setup. Options are a good thing.

Thanks for the update. My TRC cords shipped already from Cruzr so I can update how the 20in length works this weekend.
