Pac Seat Review

Right on. Thank you. What should I be gugling? DME? Weel?

Edit: Oh I see. Got me on a misspelling. :tearsofjoy: So then, do you have any other particulars to pass along?
Sorry didn't have my glasses on either!!! and my phone has a mind of its own on spelling!!!!

Yep, it was...made a world of difference (to me,) in the comfort of the chair, & made it much easier for me to turn on the chair for thse weak side shots.
Ok. Yeah I need some other solution if I'm even going to consider taking the pacseat out again.

How heavy is this cushion? I have some gel cushions around the house and the are pretty dense. I understand that it’s probably not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, but if you can get adequate comfort from an inflatable cushion at a fraction of the weight, it might be something to consider.

Y'all putting that gel cushion under your tush or on your lower back?

I did the first sit in mine yesterday and only annoyance I had was the tube on the edge of the seat digging into my hammies. Not unbearable, but I wonder if a cushion under me might lift me up and alleviate that pressure.

Good point. I've tried an inflatable cushion in the past. It works a little. The issue is that the wings of an inflatable crush down on the outside of the pacseat seat because the pacseat's material isn't wide enough for my entire butt. This makes all the air move out the center and I end up sitting directly on the pacseat seat anyway.

I just ordered an inflatable cushion that I saw on another Pacseat thread. It was only $15 on Amazon, so if it doesn’t work the way I’d like, I can always try something different without breaking the bank.

I put the cushion right on top of the seat. I find the back rest very comfortable "as-is." Once you find an angle that's comfortable for you, the back rest shouldn't need any extra padding.

Another thing you can try if you don't want to use a cushion is to tighten the cords that hold the seat together. That might raise you up enough that the back of your legs don't "dig into" the bar.

Didn't think of that. Will give it try. Thanks!

Work on getting a narrower butt. It'll fit down inside and it is really comfy for long sits. We found a couch sitting in the woods that someone dumped. Took a picture of two bowhunters laying on it. Maybe we could market such a thing.

I just ordered one with the large game bag! I'm going to WV in October hope it's a good one with no problems!! Jason, from TBWPODCAST reviews are good with no problems so far.

Had mine for several years. The old one. I adjust the string so the seat elevates me. No pad needed. But I think a small glassing pad would work pretty well. I usually have one in my pack anyhow for when I’m sitting on rock, on the side on the mountain.
I changed it the straps, backpack and waist belt. Has carried out a few animals last year using it as a pac and when you approach 3/4 miles those black straps really start to dig in. I added the straps from an old alps commander pack. They’re cushy, I rigged them so they’re quiet and comfy, the waist belt has a small hip pocket on each side for snacks & wild checker. I love hunting off the ground in my ghillie suit.
