Im looking for smaller pack with compartments for the various things we bring on a white tail hunt while single sticking.

I currently have an Alps Outdoorz Trail Blazer. Which is basically just a large main compartment and a small zippered front compartment that is about big enough for a range finder. The issue is the main compartment has no organization to it, its just a big open space where my first aid kit, grunt call, rattle bag, headlamp, knife, water bottle, gloves, hat, deer haul harness, etc.. all just kind of floats around in... Which sucks when you need something..

Ive been looking at the Eberlestock Carrier Frame and 2 Batwings, but those are basically sleeve versions of what i have now, for 300$, and 3x the weight.

What are you guys using for a small day pack with good organization that carries a single stick well.. Im not packing meat out with it as i have access with a vehicle to where i hunt. So weight, organization, and stick packability are all top priority.

Right now I'm using a Sitka tool belt which works great. I also use an older Sitka pack as well. Forget the model but works great.

I have quite a few packs but these work.

I have the full season with the Trophyline Platow and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with it. 3 zippered compartments, 1 small compartment with a magnetic closure, 2 side pockets, one of which also has a small zippered compartment, and plenty of straps.

The only time I carried a different pack is when I was hunting out of state where I knew if something got shot I would have to pack it out. Otherwise the Platow has been with me for at least 30 hunts with warm and cold weather gear.

Im not a huge fan of carrying my stick horizontally. Mainly because i have a OOAL Scout platform for my top step. Which throws the weight of the pack off on which ever side the platform is on. I also dont care for it banging against any trees while i shimmy into some of those hard to get to places.

The Platow looks awesome, but it sure doesn't seem like it would work well with cold weather gear. Where do you put it all?

I have my single stick strapped vertically.

I have a puffy vest, my fleece hat and extra socks I carry in the main compartment, and other outer layers strap onto the outside.

I ended up going with the Alp Outdoorz Big Bear Hunting Pack. Its very similar to the Trophyline, but it has a collapsible dry sack that is attached to the top of the waist pack that you can pull out and clip to the top part of the shoulders, if i need the space for warmer clothes in the winter months.

I am using a Kifaru Door Gunner for my light weight early season hunts and a Kifaru Shapecharge for trips when i need to pack a little extra. Have a grab it and a sherman pocket that i can swap out on them depending on what i need for the hunt. Pricey packs but so worth it!

I hang my stick on my saddle and everything else gets stuffed into my Bino rig. For real cold all day hunts I have a tenzing lumbar pack but I feel like it’s just a waste when all’s it really is carrying is lunch and a heavy coat

Eberlestock Bandit is pretty small but works well with a single stick.

Ive watched a few videos on this pack and it looks good. One thing i did notice in the videos is the inside and outter shell sounds pretty noisy.
What is your experience with the noise?

I love my sitka tool bucket! I had second thoughts after buying it and I considered the horn hunter main beam. Or a fanny pack of some sort. But after a dozen hunts or so, I couldn't be happier.

I can strap my stick or my bow to the front with my eyes closed its so easy. Also, the pack has more than enough different pockets to keep things organized. In one of the side pockets, I keep 40' of oplux. And, in the other, I keep a short tether. In the main compartment I carry a jacket and some water.

Could I go more minimalist? Probably. But, u don't ever feel like I'm carrying too much. It's just a backpack.

Not a fan of the shoulder straps and doesnt seem to have a way to carry a stick well. I couldnt justify 230 bucks for a fanny pack that doesnt exceed what im looking for it to do.
