Pack for Singlestick Whitetail Hunting?

I just recently got the Alps Outdoorz Pathfinder and it’s working out great for my one-stick setup. It is heavier than a lot of the packs, weighing 5lbs by itself because of the expandable day pack, but it carries very well for me. I like it because I can use the same pack, with all of the gear in the same place, for all season simply expanding the daypack for the extra winter clothes. Don’t let the weight of the pack make your decision. Look at what you’re carrying and how well the pack carries that. A heavier pack can often times carry more comfortably than a lighter pack because of the design and support.

What are you using to lash it to the pack? Just DIY straps run through the MOLLE?

I had a couple straps that are 1in webbing with plastic clips on them. I like them because i can reach them with my pack on to remove my stick. Removing the need to take my pack off to remove the stick.

Platow pack is all you need strap your stick on bottom or attatch it vertically with supplied built in harness strap. Plenty of room to strap extra clothing to several attatchment points and plenty of room for organization if your gear plus it won’t break the bank

I've packed out 13 deer now in mine. Not bad for a lumbar pack.

I looked at the Platow, but I didnt see a way of attaching the stick vertically. Other than that it looked solid.

Just went down a rabbit hole with Kifaru. Went from a tool bucket to a cargo box (external frame) and decided i had too much pack for what i needed. Now its a frame with a small pack that holds only what i need (saddle, squirrel steps, grunt tube, saw, spare release and light). Ropes and one stick strapped to frame. maybe some gloves and a beanie in the pack. Jacket strapped to outside. only thing that comes up the tree is the pack. Waaay more efficient for me.
