Looking for recommendations on a pack to haul my saddle gear in. Does anyone have experience with the Mystery Ranch Pop Up 18?

My setups will vary but bare minimum need to pack the following.

-wild edge perch
-Tethrd mantis with (2) pouches with all my stuff in them such as lineman’s belt, accessory strap, tether, knaider and swaider
-something to do drink, let’s say a bottle of mountain dew
- rangefinder and monocular
- 5 wild edge steps but will be building a kydex holster that will be attached to the back of the pack
- extra top layer (extra sweatshirt or jacket)
- couple of cliff bars or something like that
-knife

Does anyone with the pop up 18 have experience with this amount of gear? I realize it’s not much, but is hard to get in to a regular small zippered backpack. I made it all fit this morning but didn’t like it, had to pull everything out to get to anything. Please note this morning with my backpack I did have the wild edge steps in their standard bag they come in, but I don’t like carrying over my shoulder and don’t like that wild edge bag.

I'll second the Eberlestock X2. It's listed at 1830 c.i. vs 1098 for the Pop Up 18. That said, I don't find the X2 to be too big for my needs. While I have no experience with the MR pack, I can't image the footprint is too different seeing as how they're both frame packs.

How

how is the size? The mystery ranch pop up 18 looks relatively small, but the X2 looks large. Can’t find any comparisons.
Its plenty big. The main compartment is one huge sleeve and it's got two bat wings that hold a lot. Has tons of molle options as well. It's very well made I've had one 5 years and its till mint

I don’t carry a whole lot of gear and wanted something to pack meat out if I have to. It’s a little giant in my opinion and well made and it should be for the money. The pics above are with my hand climber but I also use LW minis and a predator platform and the pack nice on the meat shelf and has a very narrow profile.
It has tie downs on the top and bottom of the actual pack that works good for extra layers.

Hope this helps!

I have been doing a lot of home work on packs and thought I had my mind made up on the X2 but the then I have come across a few reviews of the X2 stating that it does not fit well on a tall person. With that said I am 6'3" with about a 22.5" torso (self measured) and I am not concerned the fit of the pack would be too small. Any additional info in regards to the pack fit would be great appreciated.

I’m 6’0” and about 190. M/L shirts. Not a big guy but not small either. I’d try one on before I bought if I were you. 6’3” is on the edge of what I’d imagine is too tall for the pack. Will ultimately come down to your proportions.

I have a MR sawtooth and love it. I carry my sticks, saddle, drink, saw, platform, and coat with ease. It has the meat shelf so I will be able to quarter if needed.

I just ordered one from camelbak and it looks like its going to be awesome...just a day pack though. But the table top option is going to be sweet.

Its an great pack. The website had an instructional video on how to properly fit an x2..... . My only gripe with the pack is the main compartment its VERY deep and it can be a pain to fish for items. I primarily use my x2 to haul 60lb bags of corn into stops to take inventory with. Trail cam.

Eberlestock packs are very well made.
