Pack Weight

Plan:
8 lbs for my early season bow hunting not counting the bow itself. This is with wearing in a Recon saddle, 2 pouches (1 for rappel rope and 1 for misc gear). Klemz platform, 1lb stick for one sticking. Might even be lighter if I decide to climb without stick and add aider to platform.

15 lbs for colder months. DIY JX3 Hybrid, ROS, 4 mini XOP with aiders on each. Alps Outdoor pack with extra clothing.

I have two packs to cover my saddle hunting needs. I bought a small sling pack to carry platform, ropes and a diy one stick for quick hunts and early season. I also have a pop-up 38 if I want/need to pack out a deer, carry extra clothes, multiple sticks, or don't know how far I will set up from my vehicle.

I hunted from the ground for years without a pack. Just a weapon, tags, flashlight and knife. When I started climbing trees it was hang on and sticks with a bungee cord to hold my extra gear, no pack. Tried the fanny pack route but am not a big fan.

I agree with others, weight is not as important as how it carries. I have molle straps and belt for my hang on and sticks, even though it's heavy I can get the weight to my hips and it's not too bad. I have to limit the weight in the sling pack. The pop-up carries well, is streamlined and most versatile.

17 lbs. for loaded pack, another 3 lbs. for saddle and SRT hardware. 6 lbs. for Hickory Creek mini. Clothes, I don't know.

This weigh 6.5 lbs. Normally the rope and the throwball/line go in my backpack but they do fit in my single saddle bag. In pack: bottle of water, knife and blades, backup rappeling gear, insect repellent.
