Packing sticks

Here’s my game plan gear full rut pack. Muddy sticks on the sides. Predator inside.

Folded up top step of cut down mini Hawk Helium in side pocket and lashed to side of Badlands Pursuit pack. Platform strapped to front of pack or placed in main large compartment. Stick is cut down real short and has a DIY double step aider for one stick climbing.

Can be used to reach preset steps or for run and gun hunting. The perfect mix of lightweight versatility and simplicity... :cool:

They are both wearing a new coat of paint too. It's much easier to carry your sticks when there's only one tiny one, ha...
 
To the guys carrying multiple Heliums:

Last year I carried 3 full size Heliums most of the season, and I attached backpack straps to one of the sticks. When stacking for transport, I put this stick on top, then lashed all three together with a strap. This allowed me to wear them in and out like a backpack. The rest of my gear was carried in a small fanny pack with a shoulder strap off to the side. It was very slim and lightweight...
