Here it is on a utility pole for practice....we’ll see how the paint and clear coat hold up with extended use.

If I could go back, I would surely add some light tone flat gray and light brown as well. I would eliminate the grayish green paint. Although it should blend a bit better in early season, it’s a little too green for my liking. I’m an asat camo guy. Couple years depending on wear, I’ll strip it and give it another go.

For anyone interested...
Here is what I did:

1: Prepped surface by cleaning with dish soap then let dry.

2. Primed with an etching primer with 2 thin coats 10 min in between and let dry for 30 min.

3. Used flat paint in various colors. Sprayed one color at a time on a piece of cardboard and dabbed a yellow sponge in it and lightly onto the platform in random spots. I did this with various colors until desired look was achieved.

4. Let dry for a few hours.

5. Applied 4 thin coats of wheel rim matte finish (duplicolor) 10 min apart.

6. Let cure for a few days before use to allow clear coat to properly harden.

Nice job. What primer and clear coat brands did you use?

Is it just me, or did was I surprised to get the predator in and it look like raw metal? I'm already planning on painting, but because i wanted to, not because it needed it. they look light grey/green in the videos'..

The Predator in the videos is one of the very first prototypes made and was not as “shiny” as the new production models

As you can see it’s already on the paint booth. Won’t be long.
