I was really impressed, I didn’t see much if any myself. And that was a 10mm not exactly a small caliber!

Just rolled in from hunting today and pulled the 10mm and the Kenai off. I wore it most of the day and for the most part forgot I had it on. I could seriously go to the grocery store with this on under a light jacket and not feel out of place. Yes, a full size 10mm is not small.
This season I carried an N-frame S&W in a GunMate chest holster. Kinda like a textile version of a tanker's shoulder holster. I liked it, I could remove my bino pack while climbing, and kinda slide the holster under my armpit so it would stay out of the way while climbing.
I've also determined that a Glock 23 with a TLR7 light will fit nicely in a surplus M4 mag pouch on a battle belt.

But when you need one you don’t want a small option at least I don’t I would love a 10mm but I thought it would be too much for this use …you got me thinking

Following this . . . FWIW I just know you're gonna cost me money.
I installed a bladetech tek lok to attach to the molle on my saddle. On the tek lok I have a safariland QLS
plate screwed to it. The holes match up to pair with the qls. If you go this route use a zip tie to keep the
tek lok from opening. Even it it opens its fine & can't fall, but still a pain in the rear trying to get that little
top clip locked back over while your wearing it loaded with a hog stopper. Holster & teklok fits super tight
in the molle & there's zero slipping around. I can run with it on the saddle just the same as on a tight belt.
Who am I kidding. I can jog with it! I aint running anywhere. No bouncing. Stays put when I need it on the
draw. No up & down draw slop as long as I have my saddle tight.

That one is on a TX5 Reaper. Carries great and stays put. I wear it (holster) even when I onestick. No issues. The reaper handles weight like a champ.
I also used/use it on my original latitude method & also on a TX5 Lonestar. The method works great too & that belt is easy to tighten down & stays in place for long hikes & onesticking. On the lonestar it doesn't carry as well. Even without the holster attached, that sliding belt system tends to fold over & the first few molle loops aren't sewn to the belt. So I mount it a little farther back. For whatever reason, the lonestar doesn't like a lot of weight on that belt. Even heavy saddle bags. Not sure about the lonestar 2. If I was getting a new TX5 I'd just ask to get the belt completely sewn to prevent the belt roll over.
So I guess the saddle could matter especially with large frame sidearms. Compact or midsize may not be much of an issue.
I guess you could try mounting a saddle bag or something a little weighted to where you wanted it to be. If there's no rolling over of the belt & hikes around good, then you will be good to go. As long as you have one proper molle loop the tek lok will mount.
Nice! I have been eyeing some wraps. It is already all scuffed up, but I like the worn look. Got it all blemished & purdy now.
I appendix carry with a homemade hybrid kydex/leather holster. All day, every day. No matter what I'm wearing.
It's kinda like THIS one.
I use THIS for a belt and run the belt/holster right over my underwear.
Run the belt from behind the slots and over the front of the holster.
Then any pants I want to wear. Even sweatpants.
Very comfortable. Much more comfortable than a belly band and very easy to re-holster during training sessions.

Off topic but what kind of camo is that? I like that leafy texture stuff hanging off it. Looks like it would work great hiding the human shape. Almost like a ghillie suit but not quite.

Asat leafy suit. In my opinion the most effective camo leafy suit beside a heavy ghilli. Ultra light weight. Been around for a long time. Do your self a favor & grab one. It will save you a lot of money on camo. You can where shorts & t-shirt under when it's hot. Only problem with it is birds & squirrels will try & land on you. I can't explain how it works but everything tends to look through you. Works great for every kind of game. Great for turkey & ducks too. Still haven't found a pattern that is equally as effective. Or anywhere close. Wasted a lot of money trying though.
I've been out with the Kenai and the 10mm about 6 or 8 times since I got the holster and I have to say it is becoming a favorite. This holster just makes carrying a full size auto easy. Most of my hunting lately has been off the ground in my Packseat. However, I did climb 2TC a short while back while wearing the Kenia. I had no difficulties at all. It was comforting to have that 10mm in close reach on the walk out. I was hunting over some really impressive hog (and deer?) sign that evening. In fact, someone had deflated one of the hogs over the weekend, so I had concrete proof of what is sharing the woods with me. Several times this season I have had angry hogs squealing close to me while hunting on the ground right at dark. This is just one of the benefits of hunting the swamp this season.
Lately on the walk out I have been unzipping my jacket about 1/3 and folding the material under and sticking the grip out for easy access. That way if I get into an angry hog in the dark, I can just drop the bow and grab the gun.
