I think it boils down to what shape do you want?
I had a Ridge Runner 2.0. Packs great, solid to the tree, handles side pressure well.
This season I've bounced back and forth between the fix and ambush depending on where I was hunting. I really like both those platforms to the point of not thinking about buying another platform.
What I like may not be what you like but maybe what I like is what I've grown accustom to using. My entire saddle hunting rabbit trail has become a hunting tool I've enjoyed more the more I've done it and I think some of that is because of the fine tuning of the gear the more I use it.
So... all those circles I just laid out is a long way of saying figure out if your style of using a saddle.. leaner, sitter, flat footer, etc... and pick a platform that's suits what will make your hunts the most comfortable for you. IMHO there are a bunch of solid platforms made today.
