Not underwhelming. Listen harder.I think everyone is yearning for some of Anema to be in their new stuff and it’s not going to happen. Anema is probably my top 5 albums ever but Maynard can’t do what he used to and they like their new direction. I think the new album is really growing on me but it is very slightly underwhelming. But I try to remind myself that some of the songs are 2 songs in one.
You young bucks owe it to yourselves to listen to these. Music history.
