I am new to this game and putting gear together. I am using 4 Tethyd Skeletor sticks and want to be between 18 and 20 feet or so up the tree. I am trying to figure which aiders to use. Single movable aider or separate one attached to each stick?

First time saddle hunter and just did my 5th climb practicing but this time I did used all my sticks. So I have the Tethrd Skeletors sticks. I have a double sewn aider for the bottom stick from (Hang free). Happy with it. I was able to get to 17’ with 4 sticks. I’m 6’ and need some help...

I'm not a sticker but I'm contemplating it for next season. My question is if you prefer a 2 step or 3 step aider for 1 sticking, and why? Seems to me just from some of the videos I have watched that the only benefit you get from the 3 step is on your first move. Second and third and so forth...

I'm totally new to saddle hunting. I have 3 sticks and know I will need an aider(s). I'm leaning towards a 3 step movable. My other thought was just a single amsteel step on each stick. What would you all suggest? Thank you.

To help combat toe pinch run the rungs of your aider through something stiff like irrigation tubing, thick walled hose, etc. Backwoods mobile makes a great one stick aider that stays open (I’m around 250lbs loaded and have no difficulties). That will also help you toe off away from the tree.
The overall length of your aider and the distance between steps will effect how effective you are at climbing. If you have a really long aider or lot
The muddy isn’t a bad stick but you may find it more beneficial to use a stick designed for one sticking, those type of sticks generally have longer stand offs that push the stick further away from the tree. If your muddy pro is 1” tube stock which IIRC it is you may be able to upgrade the stand offs. Look at the saddlehunter map and see if you can find some folks close to you.
DIY sportsman has an excellent video on YouTube showing one sticking and rappelling. You didn’t state how you intend to descend but I’d urge using caution if you’re going to one stick down.
