Please, please, please don't select me for jury duty!

I got selected and went in for questioning with the panel. The case I would potentially be on was explained as a railroad fender bender where the fenders weren't even bent and the conductor was wearing a a neck brace and looking for something close to $1MM in pain and suffering. They said what are your feelings on this case I said the guy looks fine to me. His lawyers dismissed me pretty quick

I had county jury duty (one week, in less the trial goes a long time) one week the started Federal the next week. Was seated on both trials in the county that week, 1 murder and 1 possession with intent. Only seated for 1 federal and that was an illegal wire tapping case.

I wasn’t about to try and get out of it, I simply told the truth on the pre selection questionnaire and when they call you and ask you questions during federal selection. I’ve never understood the “say anything to get out of jury duty” crowd. There’s nothing more American than voting or serving on jury duty.
 
I have been called also, but was dismissed . later I was talking to a lawyer friend of mine he said I was not a good candidate , why ? Working White middle age male . I would have been proud to put someone in the electric chair . opps
 
I was foreman on the murder trial. Thankfully there was no doubt he did it. He admitted to it, but was angling for a manslaughter charge. But when you take about 8 mins total to fire your 12 shots.....that kinda goes out the window.

The thing I didn’t like about it was the last this thing the dude heard before leaving the courthouse was my name since I signed the verdict.

I got out of jury duty once just by how I asked a question. They mentioned it would be a minor crime trial and I asked for clarification on wether or not capital punishment is allowable for misdemeanors.....
They sent me packing pretty quick.

There’s a bunch of great, proud Americans in here, no doubt. Just wish my notification could have come during any other open season. So...what’s the weather going to do this week?:kissing:
 
There we go! Thought we were gonna have to invoke the Thanksgiving dinner table rules. Now was that a 90% chance of deer or 100%?
 
Beautiful here now. Had a 30° temp drop, light rain and a decent wind and I haven’t seen a dang deer all day, lol
