Predator Mini

The Predator is about as small as I'd want to go though for taking off spurs. I couldn't imagine trying that one a solo scout or something smaller.

Instead of relying on standing on the platform to take off your spurs, try just sitting down in your saddle. That way you’re not trying to balance on one foot. It’s much easier, in my opinion.

Another easy way to take them off is when on platform take a step up tree with one hook lean over in buckle take off then place that foot on platform and step up with other hook and do same thing

I'll give it a shot next time but my lack of flexibility might be a factor. I'm the guy that puts his foot up on a step tying boots, putting on overshoes, etc. so it was only natural to do the same (gaff into the tree above the platform and one foot on the platform) to unbuckle them.

That is how I take mine off. Same method if I am putting them back on, spike them in the tree up near my knee and then place my foot in them and buckle. But mostly I rappel so no need to put them back on.
