Predator Platform Survey

Strap!! Too much fiddling with daisys for me (bad enuff on my sticks). Strap gets it right where i want it. Just my opinion tho. Might be “operator error” on my part.

Timber hitch! No metal parts and gets , and stays, just as tight as the strap.

Still using the strap without issue. I will cover the buckle this year with some inner tube.

I have tried just about every attachment method. The cam buckle strap just works the best.

Strap. Too much sag with a daisy chain.
X2. A little off topic however it isnt a problem with a top stick scout setup. I think the difference is how far away the leverage is on a Predator vs a Scout, and the amount of sag in a daisy. I wonder if it wouldn’t be as much an issuer on the Predator if the post was longer. Don’t get me wrong I don’t want a longer post, but Im curious if the guys running a Predator or similar attached to a climbing stick have better results with a daisy???

Well it definitely sounds like the score goes to the strap. Thanks was just wanting everyone’s thoughts on this. Haven’t tried the daisy chain on it yet but it sounds like no point in even messy with it.

Daisy chain and versatraps don’t lock in quick enough for me.

Certain tree have a very narrow areas that will work so I need to lock it in tight, quickly.

Straps have worked great but have noise potential.

Gonna try a normal amsteel rope mod or the timber hitch . Both look like they’ll work & be silent.

Strap for me. I use versa straps on my sticks because I’m trying to get them up quickly and won’t spend much time on them, but I like a more solid platform personal, especially when it comes to applying side pressure.
