Predator Platform Survey

I use both, depending on what species of tree & diameter. Large trees I use the amsteel daisy chain or in areas maximum quietness (in bedding areas). Do not use the daisy chain on hard smooth bark trees such as small poplar, it has a tendency to slip at bad times. Other times I will use the original strap (buckle coated with mole skin). I carry a daisy chain or two in the bottom of my backpack just in case I need that extra length to get the bottom of a bigger tree. My tendency is to use the amsteel daisy chain more since it is more flexible, it can go around larger trees and is absolutely quiet.
 
Strap......just cover the buckle with something to keep it quiet.
 
In order of preference:
- Versa strap
- Daisy chain
- any other brand strap I have - Hawk, LW etc
- gun to my head, tethrd strap. Not being critical of the brand just the strap. It sucks. But I have said on here many many times hands down the greatest piece of gear I’ve ever owned or will ever own is a Predator.

My love for the predator approaches family dog status. I rank my dogs above the wife. Predator vs wife would require considerable thought.
 
Was using the stock strap, but switched to a hawk strap. I like the more pliable strap.
 
I honestly don't mind the predator strap. However, the buckle on said strap does suck. It gets stuck at least 50% of the time.
 
LW strap for me. Original buckle works but it’s not as user friendly.
