I have the predator from Tethrd. My question is this. There is a large tree where I hunt that I can't get the strap around, is the solution to have an amsteel daisy chain made long enough so I could hunt this tree? Any help is appreciated.

You can get Strapworks to sew a longer strap. They do nice work and have very reasonable prices at Strapworks. Lots of choices in webbing too.
A longer strap would be a good item for any Predator owner to have in their box of stuff. You can always swap out to the longer strap when you need to hunt a big tree.

Climbing sling as an extension

A long Amsteel daisy chain would certainly work, but you could also just connect your predator strap to another strap you have (e.g., a Hawk Helium strap) as an extension.

Lonewolf use to make a extension for there strap . You can get 8 foot straps for sticks . I think EWO sells them.

Go on Lonewolf treestand web page and they have extensions for there tree and stick straps.

The custom gear page?

be careful on really big trees, i find them more dangerous to climb

The other day I wanted to use my predator as a seat for a ground setup, so I swapped the strap with the EWO daisy chain webbing strap from one of my sticks, it worked great. Good reason to maybe keep one 8' strap on a stick so you can trade.

Try it at ground level by standing on it. Sitting is a lot different than standing and shifting your weight from side to side. I definitely prefer a strap with a cam on it compared to a daisy chain on a platform. Just my opinion.

I agree, when I bought my Predator it came with a mini versa strap, but I never felt comfortable at hunting height camming it over with that. If I was going to use a strap I'd prefer to have feet on the ground. I find it easier to sit with minimal movement on the edge of that platform. It's not really at all comfortable because you can't lean into it or anything but it reduces ground noise for sure. I just thought the novelty of keeping one long strap, whether it be a daisy chain or even a cam strap, on one of your sticks gives you multiple options for setting up.
