Primal cam over V steps

I think.im gonna try using skateboard grip tape onit and see how that works

Instead of cutting buckles off has anyone tried hockey tapeing the catch buckle to silence it? Or are y'all cutting them off to make them cam over more easily?
I have not taken the buckles off, I wrapped them in electrical tape. I was thinking about sticking some cut up bike tire tube on them, maybe with epoxy.
I like the buckle, makes adjustment very quick and no messing with knots.

Ahh I still need to try making a Plywood platform. I'll probably push it off and just stand on a couple steps for at least the start of the season and see how it does for me.

I use friction tape or hockey stick tape alot for many things. I learned to use it when i was a structural iron worker for taping up our beater handles( sledges) so it wouldnt slip out and fall.. It has a tackyness to it almost sticky. Most hardware stores carry it for electritions work. I used it to tape up grips for my lone wolf sticks and i taped up the buckles on the primal steps. The ring is completely gone ; they are now silenced, it also acts sort of like a magnet when newly taped cause the tape sticks together so good. Only down side is the buckles don't come apart easily now ; have to go side to side with ot to get it apart. Im sure that will. Be easier with use but im pretty stoked how quiet it made em.
