Just got doing another practice run with mine. I’m about 50/50 on getting a great solid cam over with the strap
 
Yeah this will be year one for me and after a boat reno and a new hunting dog I'm looking to save as much as I can. I thought these primal steps my a way to do that. Given the love WE gets here I'm not certain primal is the way to go.

They work great. Buckles are cumbersome but once they're replaced, they work perfectly.

I am doing the same thing, first year in a saddle but I had gleaned the platform idea as well.
