Primal vs wild edge?

Looks like the wild edge perch.

That was my initial thought too, but if the 3/4” plywood is straight (90 degrees) out of a primal and skyward (way less than 90 degrees) out of a WE stepp, I expected wonky results for a perch in a primal…shows what I know! Lol

Yeah, I have tried that too. Still find it a pain to carry/pack.
Is your amsteel full bury?
I bought a bigger pack this year so I carry everything in the pack then hang it from my saddle before I climb.

I didn't do a full bury, a locked brummel and maybe a foot or so of bury.

I have wild edge steps and have always wondered why they just didn't use an adjustable strap. Are the primals a suitable substitute?

I just got my Primals today. Wild Edge was out of stock and wouldn’t return my calls, emails. I am not a fan of the buckle system on the straps. I cammed it down, put some weight on it to test it, it seemed great, then I stepped up on it and the buckle came undone. I am not willing to get up the tree and have the steps fail on my way back down.

so I ordered Amstel replacements from HangFree.
