1- year saddle hunter. Still searching. Public land legal only.

60% WE w/KN/SW
40% LWHC

This year trying:
1-sticking w/Muddy Pro (in tree right now!)
3 DIY or Hawk mod sticks with CAYGA

Takeaways so far:
1) climbing systems with lineman belt are easier/more efficient than climbing systems while tethered. Less safe perhaps, but easier.

2) Difficulty of carrying while hiking in gets traded off against difficult while climbing tree (pick your poison). No duh here, huh? I came to this style of hunting to get lighter from treestands but there does seem to be a point of diminishing returns.

3) I'm comfortable with aiders but do better with good hand holds (sticks) than on tree (stepps/LWHC).

- Hawk Heliums with moveable aider right
now.
- WE Stepps on order with my new
Knaider/Swaider
- would really like to go up with just a 5 step
aider @noxninja style and rappel down...
We'll see how that goes

You must be making more bottles to use in canoe pics this weekend! ;)

I'm a bolts guy too. Guess I'mma be a cranford guy where those aren't legal. I've tried everything else and just don't love it.
Have you tried the cranfords yet? Unless you go aider they are a royal pain packing up on the way down.

I'm not voting because there's nothing that I love that I can use everywhere. Otherwise I'd vote bolts.
