Property improvement ideas

It sounds like the limiting factor around you is food. I'd start there and set it up to where you are catching them coming to it without them knowing you're there.

No these are not planted trees these are growing naturally in an existing diverse forest habitat.

I wanted to clarify what I said here just a little. Some people may go straight to thinking of food plots when someone mentions the limiting factor is food. Those are certainly good ways to SUPPLEMENT what's available. But, those are done on just a fraction of your property. You can supply food with native vegetation and it will be less money, probably less work, and certainly last longer. If you go to https://websoilsurvey.nrcs.usda.gov/app/WebSoilSurvey.aspx you can find your property and the plant species that were historically adapted to your place. Then, you just manage for that and vary your age structure so you put native food where you want it and native cover where you want it. If anybody wants to know more about finding out that info using that site, just let me know, and I can walk through an example scenario with screenshots.
