Ill post some wounds...havent lost one i shot so far with them...shot 4 so far and another with a hypodermic just to see how it worked....i never thought i would be a rage fan boy....i truly thought it was a fad.

This was the first deer i shot last year with it...this is the entry.20190819_164717.jpg

You can see the exit in this one...not the best pic though. Screenshot_20191010-212343_Gallery.jpg

Here is the second i shot....this is the entry.
I didnt get a pass through...as you can see i hit a lot of shoulder...but it almost went all the way through. Screenshot_20191010-212921_Gallery.jpg

Here is the first one i shot this year....as you can see not the best shot but still recovered the deer. This is the entry. I didnt get a pic of the exit for whatever reason. Screenshot_20191010-213231_Gallery.jpg

This last one i shot this past friday was with a hyperdermic...got a pack on sale and was out of unused rage extreme 4 blades....i still like the 4 blade better.

Here is the entry. He was quartering to me and i still got a pass through.Screenshot_20191010-214011_Gallery.jpg

For some reason i didnt get the exit on this as well...just have to take my word....just as good as entry.

Dang that’s crazy! I watched a couple videos and the entry and exit holes I was seeing sold me on them. How do they fly? How far were most of those deer when you shot them?

Fly great...i shoot very consistent with them...i always sacrifice one or 2 to use a practice tip...they hit the same as my field points as well as the slick tricks i was previously using.

1st deer 25yds
2nd deer 20yds
3rd deer 35yds
4th deer 12yds

5th (Hypo) was 22yds

Thats the only thing I was worried about was the flight. I’ve been using slick trick raptor tricks and really like them. That makes me feel better about using them

Rage are good broadheads for sure. I started shooting hypos and honestly never tried another broadheads because why change what works. Just as long as you aren't shooting low poundage you are good. At the same time I'm sure there are some people on these forums that can explain why fixed blades are better. They have to be pretty good after all because I think in most states you can only shoot elk with fixed blades (I could be wrong about this)

I hear you. I was always primarily a fixed-blade Broadhead shooter. I had tried a couple other Expendables and didn't really care for him throughout the years. I'd say the last 5 Years I mainly used Slick Trick Grizz tricks. They did really good and I was happy with their performance for the most part, but last year the first two bucks I shot I didn't recover. The first one was a bad shot.. the second one I honestly thought I smoked him, but I must have hit a little low. I believe both of those beer would have been recovered had I had just a slightly larger Broadhead. Not that I'm advocating bad shots but it seems the larger blades are more forgiving when that happens and you have a better chance of finding your dear.

I’ve never shot a four blade, I shoot hypos. I was having some penetration issues with them at first. Then I added weight to my arrow (496 gr.) and 3 pounds of draw weight (62) and they blow through deer now.

those wide cutting blades have a lot of surface area and need a little extra momentum for pass-thrus. I think some people don’t realize that... took me awhile, and I actually think it cost be two deer. Just something to keep in mind.

I would use the black colors unless you are using a crossbow....i use the red ones they give for practice...i use it multiple times....just rotate until you dont have enough tabs

Be careful on quartering to you shots. That's not a high percentage shot.

Yep.....I don't take it much...this was slight qtr to me...not much...you can see where it entered....it exited right behind the other shoulder to the point where you would the exit was the entry because it was perfectly behind that shoulder.....if that puts it in perspective.
