Any of ya'll know how to make one of these? I'm not averse to throwing one in my next order at only $12, but I've got a bunch of extra amsteel laying around and would like to have a go of making one.

No, but I bet there's a generic YouTube video to help. I have them on my cranford rope steps and I like them, but I've never done it. Yes, just checked. Lots of videos

I've been searching but the ones I have found are people making whoopi slings for hammocks, and from what I can see doesn't look anything like this.

Looks like you just girth hitch the normal lanyard around a loop that was sliced together. Looks simple to do. Wording I’m sure is off, but make a loop out of the amsteel that’s locked together or buried and girth hitch the range finder lanyard on it.

Here's another option that is very effective and STUPID-simple to DIY. Did mine out of braided ridgeline and shock cord but you can really use anything in place of the ridgeline (D-loop material, paracord, etc.). Shock cord gives plenty of room for expansion when layering.

I like that! I may end up doing something similar if i cant figure out how to use my amsteel.

The one being sold just looks like an adjustable continuous loop. I'm sure it's super simple to make but I'm new to splicing and burying and all that so not sure of the mechanics of making it. It's one of those things that are probably so simple I'm just making it harder in my head trying to figure it out.

It seems like all you would need to do is make a loop, splice your amsteel through the middle without making the lock. Pull through however much slack you need, and that should do it. I don’t know all the splicing terms, but I can see it in my head.

Looks like take a Paracord long enough to go around your body. Put Blake's hitch in it. Girth hitch the cord for the finder around it.
I might try this. I have just a Blake's on mine to adjust the length. But that looks better to wear.
