I dont like you have to unroll the pouch to access the business end to start climbing. Id have to roll it back up to start climbing. Be nice if someone came up with something that addressed that. Until then, the water bottle pouch works.

you don't have to roll it up to start climbing. I have never rolled mine back up when climbing

I've used the water bottle pouch hunting thus far and picked up the REI shower bag but haven't used it yet. Holds everything nicely just need to figure out how to attach it.

I figure 8 the rope and fold it in at the end of a hunt. Then restuff it later.

45 feet in the rei pouch and 37 feet of Canyon in the water bottle pouch.

Maxepidition makes the biggest water pouch I have seen I went thru a lot of different pouches and am getting this one. Last pouch I got was 12x5 and it’s big and fits my 40 ft of oplux and several beaners and madrock safeguard with room to spare I modded mine to wear like a chest rig but when I put the canyon I had it was tight so I’m going to the maxepidition as it’s like 15x7 or something like that and has a sling but will mod into chest rig. I tried the roll pouch I made and it works but for some reason I didn’t care for it on my side that way I get up in tree I slip pouch off and attatch to my strap and when ready to descend I toss to ground and go down as that’s my preferred methodEBE567D3-A05C-48ED-AE54-756A07A3F46E.jpeg

I also transfer mine to the tree at height, aka Red Beard style. I like my saddle being "clean" during the hunt. I used to stuff 35ft of canyon in my pouch meticulously, but lately have been figure 8 it and fold it in half and stick it in. I pack the last 5ft or so normal and that allows me to pull out what I need at the base of the tree with no issues. I then just remove the rope and drop it for rappel.

Came across this while looking through Amazon at molle gear. Might fit the bill for being the right size, keeping the saddle clean, and having just enough storage. And it’s cheap too.

Been looking at several myself on Amazon. There are some decent cheap options. This one looks good.
