Repurposing an old Muddy stick?

I have a pile of the original muddy sticks with the cam cleats. Has anyone ever cut these down slightly and then put solid double steps and standoffs (thinking EWO) thus allowing one to use the cam cleats? I’m not even sure this is possible but it popped in my head on the way to work.

Are those cleats removeable and reusable? For some reason I thought not but can’t remember why.
 
I have a muddy stick that has EWO steps and stand offs and a scout platform and I added a cam cleat and has a EWO button. My favorite stick. Don’t have a pic at the moment but I believe it’s cut to 20”. If you want to sell or trade for one of the sticks with cam cleat hit me up

It didn’t already have the cam cleat?
 
No the cleat was gone but I added a harken 150 to it. Awesome set up for me. Will get a pic when I get it back from my buddy
 
That looks exactly like the setup I am going for. I guess that tells me I can definitely use the Muddy stick and the cleats it already has on there. How do you like the angled platform?
 
For real? Yeah man I'm trying to find one muddy stick. What do you want for one of them?

The angled scout is the ticket and I add 2 ROS one on each side and it’s awesome for me as I’m more of a leaner. I like DANO’s stand offs the best puts me about 5” vs 4.5” off my shikar stick from the tree. More foot room I’m not sure what the distance is from the muddy stand offs but it will work

Cool, yeah I was thinking I would go with EWO standoffs as well.

Should just add Razorback to a offline text chain but here already, of your DanO sticks which length are you liking for one stick?
Also do you have any stock = not ultralight / anodized and how do they compare?
