You can put heat shrink on it too.Yep thanks! I think I’ll just leave my end taped for now, looks like I’d need a few things to do it that way.

I think it would be more of a issue on a linemens belt system if anything. On a tether unless you fall around 3ft you should never reach 4kn.https://www.convertunits.com/from/kN/to/pounds
Shows 4kn to be 800 pounds. I keep the slack out of my tether. I weigh 200 lbs loaded down with gear. I feel safe with the rope man.

One is regarded as the best. Not trying to sway you but I have been pretty happy with a schawbash hitch on a eye to eye beeline. Releases much easier than a Blake's hitch. With a micro pulley can have one handed operation.Im gonna order a ropeman for my tether any one recommend one?

Wish it was mine. Thetracker gave it to me. Works great. Removes mechanical failure from the equation. Releases easily. I use it on my tether and I know he uses it on his linesmans belt. I also have ropemans but have been using this lately.nevermind i see it great idea
I'm not sure. There isn't a lot left over. I will take a picture and show it to you.Does it require 28" of rope to make the knot?

Here is the pic. Not a lot of leftover. Not sure how close you want to make it. I have a micro pulley on it to make it more one handed. You can easily make your tether longer with one hand without the pulley. To shorten it still requires two. But this thing doesn't bind at all like a Blake's hitch. If I can I will make a video.Does it require 28" of rope to make the knot?
