Saddle meet up North East Florida

1of our local wma is having a quota free archery hunt oct 7-14. I couldn't make it then...... I think it would be best to wait till small game season where everyone can meet up and use the gear in a woods setting and people could also hunt as long as they have required paperwork.
 
How far is ponte vedra bch from everybody? They have a liberal small game season. If you've paid your wma permit you could hunt hogs.....hunting licence + wma permit you can hunt all small game species. There is a nice check in station with parking, bathroom, and burn barrel.

Double check me on the regulations
 
I thought the idea was to focus on saddles...not hunting....

If y’all hammer out a date I’ll see if I can go, but I have a gator tag left to fill (hopefully tomorrow night) and trying to kill some more deer before my out of state trip. So don’t count on me

I'll be there if it falls on a good weekend. Like started above, ivote for a Dec or Jan a.m. saddle demo and afternoon pig hunt. Just need to figure wma that's close for everyone. This is the dates Guana River Wma is open. Any wma would do..... This one already had a good place set up with restrooms

Ocala and oceola could also be good choices

I'll show up even if everyone decides they don't wanna do the wma hunt.....

Im also interested in this as i am currently useing a rch diy saddle and am trying to choose the best saddle for myself. Im also in NE Florida.

Caravelle Ranch WMA is awesome for hogs. If not, I would be willing to travel somewhere else.
 
I don’t think anything is planned. I’m pretty busy between work and home projects, but if someone plans it I’ll attend if I’m able. Don’t have to wait for small game, there’s still some deer to hunt in blanding

Oh yeah man. I'm down. Just PM me when your heading to blanding and I will meet you at the gate. This thread started back in September, so I wasn't sure if the big meet up ever happen.

Nothing happened yet. I haven’t hunted blanding in years and never did hunt it much. I’d like to get out before the end of season to walk a bit of it and try to get my final tag filled. We’ll see.
