How many random people did u meet this season who saddle hunting also? The season prior to this year I met 1 other guy who had converted.......this season I met 4 random people who have adopted it.
Two. One helped me recover my buck and when he didn’t see anything but preset sticks in my tree, he asked what I shot it out of and we got into the saddle talk. The other one hadn’t converted yet but he is just getting into his 60s and is a little bit over the discomfort of sitting in conventional treestands but doesn’t want to give us on his cheapie 1-man ladder stands for many good reasons. So I am going to let him try my saddle in his ladder stand in the off-season to see if he likes the hybrid style.

I have converted several in the past couple years, and I know a few folks who saw the light all on their own... But this year was the first year I saw a rando out there sporting the ol' death diaper.

There goes the neighborhood...

The few guys I hunt with on private think I’m insane and a lot of work. Little do they know and little will they ever know. They bow hunt only to rifle season, I bowhunt all season. I am converting my nephew and a friend and they have been pretty interested for when we hunt public

There are 8 guys in my hunting circle of friends(I’m including Horn even though we are just internet buddies at this point). 6 of us hunt from a saddle. The other two refuse to convert.

Outside of my circle of friends I don’t know any saddle hunters. Most people I knew described saddle hunting to me as the CrossFit of the hunting world before I started.

You need to saddle hunt, go to CrossFit, and be vegan to complete the trifecta...

... However a vegan deer hunter doesn't really make sense, so the trifecta may be nothing more than urban legend.

One guy stopped to chat while I was getting ready to go in who said he saddle hunts, but no telling for sure. All the confirmed saddle hunters I know are on here.

Zero chance I'm going to convert anyone, I'm crazy. Just ask them :tearsofjoy: actually I know very few people who actively hunt, or actually have intent to kill. A few guys are just taking mini vacations

I met a guy on his way out when I was helping my father in law drag a deer. I asked if he was on the forum and said yes but I didn't catch a name. First time I've seen another person using one but I was about an hour away from home. I also don't typically run into people during archery season.

I ran into 2 other hunters this year. One had a climber on his back, the other was loading up his lock on and a recurve, and said he didn't like shooting trad from the saddle because the bridge gets in the way. I don't try to convert people when I run into them i try to ask as many questions as they will put up with lol
