Saddle pain issue

I know much of this has been covered in various topics here but I can't find anything that matches my issue.

I have a Cruzr XC saddle, which I think everyone bills as a very comfortable saddle. Overall, I echo that and love hunting out of it. It wasn't until season started and I was putting in 4-5 sits so far that I have come to realize this thing is a bit painful. I am finding I alternate between leaning and sitting some. If I sit, I can find comfort pretty easily, but when I stand for long periods of time, the saddle digs into the back of my legs pretty bad. Its like I have to constantly adjust the saddle so it doesn't hurt between the two positions.

I have tried adjusting the bridge loops up and down to adjust where the saddle pulls from and that helps a lot, but I feel like I'm super high up on the loops to accomplish this. I've played with tether height and the lower I get it, the better it feels, but then my bridge is too long and I'm right against the knot on the tree, with little tether to move around on.

It feels like there is just too much saddle, top to bottom for me and I'm kind of wondering if I need to go down a size. I get no hip pinch at all on my sides, just the pain in the backs of my legs.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you have tried all the usual adjustments like moving the bridge to bridge loop location and tether height. Did you also try adjusting the bridge length?

Everybody is different but how I check for saddle size is to put the saddle on and pull the bridge loops in front of me like I’m trying to fasten them together like a belt - I like to have about a 4” gap between the two. If you can touch the bridge loops together or if they overlap, then you might want to try a smaller size.

try adjusting tether length....if leaning are you leaning back at a large angle from the tree? it should feel like how you'd comfortably lean against a kitchen counter

i like the length so that when i sit with my knees to tree that my upper thighs are at a 45 degree angle to the tree

When you're leaning, pull the bottom up to where it's like you would think you could almost slide out of it.

Give CRUZR a call and explain the issue you are having. They may have some other suggestions for you. They have great customer service

Hey all. I decided to contact Cruzr and I explained, in detail what I'm experiencing. The gentleman I spoke with said it is almost a guarantee the size 3 saddle is too big for me. The amazing part is they are going to help me out and get me the right size. I'll report back what I find once the smaller one shows up and I test it out. I can not say enough about my experiences with them when I first ordered my original saddle and gear and had questions, to this situation here. I'm a huge Cruzr fan to say the least.
