SaddlePalooza 2020 - SIGN UP NOW

I'm excited about this. Theres literally hundreds of thousands or acres of public land in that area. Less restrictions than Ft. Stewart. Not to mention some great fishing on the Altamaha. Man I could spend a whole month down there. The only rub is it will be small game season so we'll be limited to rimfire, archery or muzzleloaders. Might have to head that way one weekend for a little scouting. :p
Post up your plans....I was thinking about checking it out too

Rivers still full now but its starting to drop up above 3 rivers. Might make a trip next weekend

And shotgun with size 2 shot or smaller :)

@g2outdoors I plan on going down on the 17th. What would be the process to secure my space for those days and just stay in place for SaddlePalooza? I don't want to mess with the plan and if I have to reserve the site and check out and then back in, that's fine too. Based off your "G2" of the campsites, is it better for a hammock or tent? I can do either, but prefer the hammock if there are suitable tree locations.

Either way, sign me up!!!!!

If its the one I'm thinking about, its between Sansavilla and Clayhole WMAs. Either way there's a ton of public within a short drive

Yes there is a you tube vid of the park , there is a sign on the vid that shows WMA's that are reached from the Park. Looks like tent or hammock stand might be your best bet

Is there plenty of public access if you do not have a boat?

Also if using a muzzleloader are we limited to shot, or can we use a saboted slug?

Yes and you can use a sabot

Man this would be a dream just to meet some of you hard core guys and learn! Only 4.5 hrs from me that’s doable!

Is registration open? If so how do we sign up and pay?

It is not.

Ever see One Crazy Summer? I feel like the uncle trying to win the radio show.

I’ve spent more time on here recently checking in. Like even in the middle of the night. Roll over. Check the time. See if a link is up.

I might have a problem. Hahaha

I've stayed out of some of my hunting areas because there is no service, I feel you pain!

@g2outdoors can we at least say those dates in February are still solid? Planning to put in some leave if so brother.
