I used 3 sticks with a knaider and swaider this past season. It worked fairly well for me but at times not having continuous loops on my steps made me feel uneasy. Never had any issues hooking on directly to the steps, but I'm going to go in different direction this next season. I figured since I'm already rappelling down I might as well try 1 sticking next season. I just picked up new 1 stick with a 3 step aider from RDA Outdoors .

For sure could have been something besides tune, just that is the most logical. Could be a simple as the fletching made slight contact with an unseen twig causing the arrow to not hit flush. If it was a recurring issue though that screams tune to me with his bow setup. Seen plenty of stuff happen that on first glance didnt make a lick of sense and a some that didnt after lots of study. Doubt we will ever figure it all out, just have to make the best decisions we can with what we know and learn.
I have absolutely no doubt that tune was not the issue. That bow was probably the best tuned bow I’ve ever had. And I doubt it was ab twig because it was actually a really open spot. I think I got MAYBE 4 inches of penetration.

Sounds like a possible tune issue. Even with a steep blade angle that much bow should blow through about everything. At least in my experience.
Nah. Over the last three years I’ve become a tune freak. To the point that now I own a bow shop. Here’s a broadhead group. I am meticulous.

I have a friend that all he ever gets is 4 inches of penetration. But he's not a hunter

I thought I found my perfect pack, but by the end of the year I realized it was not to be. Going with the Eberlestock Bandit.

Using a cushion as a knee pad seemed good, but it was just a pain and bulky. Im trying Tethrd's knee pads. They had them on a good sale at the outdoor show in PA.

Finally, not a fail but I need new arrows. My trusty Behman ICS Hunters 400 are no longer to he found

Totally agree with using fixed blades. But why the high poundage? Unless you’re shooting large African game, there is no need. Your shoulder would last longer also. IMO.
I've been contemplating dropping to 60, but that's a big change in arrow setup, etc

I'm 50/50 on my Sitka Stratus jacket. It's a nice jacket. I could tolerate it. I'm just not sure it fits quite well enough to justify what I paid for it. I got a large, but the torso is abnormally short. I guess it's ultimately designed for their stupid "system" to be worn with the matching bibs and panties, but I think wearing bibs sucks. Medium tall I may try but I feel is going to be too small in the chest, and large tall jumps the sleeves 2" up which is a no-go. I wish they'd just made the thing to go to mid-hip like a normal exterior jacket.
