Secret Santa?

It might be a little late for this year, but y’all ever done a secret Santa exchange around here? The BBQ Brethren group does a couple sauce trades a year and we used to do a secret Santa deal each year. Cool to get a package from some place in the world with local goodies and such.

If there an interest, I’ll offer to organize via a google form or something. We could still do it this season m, maybe call it after deer season ends...

Thoughts? You’d enter. Id match you randomly and them email you your persons info. And this would not have be the same person that your sending stuff too.

We’d have to set a limit and a ship by date.

Just a thought.

Sounds fun! I do this at work. One thought, ... maybe instead of a $ limit, provide a range. That way, no one would be offended by providing something near the limit and getting something closer to $0.00 cost.

Questions, how does the transfer of gift from giver to receiver happen? Just addresses given and sender is responsible for shipping? Any limits on geographic location, e.g., CONUS, lower 48, maybe different groups for my Canuck brothers/sisters to the north? And anyone else outside of US/Canada?

Sounds fun, but the international aspect might be challenging.

We'll call it a $15-20 limit for the gift. Shipping is also on the sender. stuff that i used to through in as part of it was stickers from local bars, food joints, etc. Got a spare "something" for hunting? toss it in. whatever. I included a T-Shirt size as that might matter or help some folks out. And this is good-natured fun. Don't be a "Richard" and sign up and not send a box. We are mostly all adult-ish. This is the honor system. We'll follow up with everyone just to see who's playing nice in the sandbox with others. Folks that leave people hanging are subject to public flaming. =).

we could also NOT make it SO random, and if folks from Canada wanna join in, we keep them separate just to speed up shipping and keep costs lower. Just a thought. Anyone overseas in a uniform will be included....
