Shall we talk shotguns?

Excellent point. Remington's quality control has beem an embarrassment for well over a decade. An older 870 or 1100 is probably a safer investment than a newer one, especially if you're comfortable sourcing parts on Numrich.

Man, how great would it be if Ruger did for the 870 what they did for Marlin's 45-70?
Reallllllyy hoping they get the marlins on track! I’ve always wanted one but didn’t want to buy a Remington made one. Love the sights in the marlins over the Henry’s. I love a good Henry though

I've got a Remlin .444. I like it well enough - it's stainless, and my go-to foul weather deer rifle. But i wonder how much better it would have been if I had been a bit pickier, and clued-in to the remlin issues.

Back on track... how come nobody makes a stainless shotgun like the Ruger Red Label?

Took a few years to save up, but finally got a Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus. Out performs anything I've
had in the past. Even the old A5 (one of the best ever made). What I love about it, the patterns & the
ability to run 3.5 inch in everything. It kicks/feels like it's shooting 2.5" shells with the kick off stock.
When you can bang 3.5inch 00buck in a saddle accurately, it says something. It's a gentle giant for sure.

Another thing I like is when you need to unload just the barrel, all you have to do is cycle the bolt. It
discharges the live round & doesn't feed a new one. Not until you press the button by the loading port.
Makes unloading the hot shell super easy. Shots as fast you can pull the trigger. I've tried, as fast as I can,
& can't outrun the trigger.

If you want to step into a softer 3.5", the xtreme is where it's at. I'll never run 2.5's again. So far it's been
great for deer, hogs, turkey's & ducks. I beat it up pretty good & runs in the worst conditions I can find.
I live in a salt water environment with plenty of mud & sand. Same way I like my women, it likes to be dirty,
but stays classy. I have no problems throwing it around & by no means feel like I need to baby it.

If you're gonna shoot trap buy a trap gun.
If you're gonna shoot skeet buy a skeet gun..
If you're gonna hunt turkeys buy a turkey gun...

If you want 1 gun to do it all and last forever go get you a Browning Citori!

I daydream about a good Beretta 686. Nothing super fancy, I don’t care about custom engraving, I just want a fine skeet gun. I’ll probably make a bigger skeet habit after retirement.

My trap gun is pretty boring lol, a Winchester 37A. Breaks the birds though, and got it for 85$ at a gun show in the late 90s. My little brother has a BT99, it’s really beautiful.

My son shoots on the school shooting team. I have watched thousands of rounds go through shotguns. I am partial to beretta a-400 with kick off. My 12 year old shoots it. Our team has allot of beretta, Ruger and Benelli. With what I have seen. Those berettas are just awesome. Haven’t seen a flaw yet. I love the. And the kick off is amazing.

1927 Ithaca NID field grade in 20 gauge and a Henry single shot in the same. Neither of which are particularly high end. But I’m happy and I’m happy with the quality of both. The Ithaca has been in my family since 1937 and I’m the fourth to own it.

Went 20 gauge semi auto! Figure if I don’t like it I’ll turn around and sell it. Some many misconceptions about ammo it’s hard to get out of my head. Even though I know the ballistics are there

Well with that being said, you cant beat a M2 benelli or any other B gun for that matter.
I own two stoger 3020 (one for me and one for my wife) they have their hiccups and usually any failures to operate is my fault.
I've heard good things about the tristar guns, lots of guys like them. My wife bought a raptor compact years go from walmart when they had a deeply discounted sale. killed a few turkeys with it myself, don't tell her!

I have no experience with the new SX4 winchesters but have shot the SX3 in 20 gauge and they shoot very well.

I sure hope you're not gonna keep us in the dark after 4 pages of shotgun talk...

Let's go, spill the beans will ya! Teasin us with "Went 20 gauge semi auto!" ain't right.

Oh yea you’re right! What a douche I am!

Benelli Super Black Eagle. I held probably 10 to 15 different guns and it was the one that got the fire going the most! Hope i like it!

Held everything from Beretta 686, Browing Citori, Benelli super vinchi, franchi affinity, Franchi slx in 28 gauge, benelli ethos, benelli over and under, beretta a-400. All sweet guns. Held a couple of the cheaper guns like the Cz, and Tristars. I’m sure they are nice but I wanted a gun I loved and I didn’t feel the love for them. Kinda a sucker for the higher end guns. Definitely added a few to the wish list in the next couple years. Also some of the guns j held like the nice over and unders didn’t do what I wanted. I wanted a do it all gun for now. Waterfowl, upland game, shoot some skeet with it too. Wouldn’t dare take a 686 or Citori in the woods to possibly sink like I did my last waterfowl gun even though they both are tanks and I’m sure they could handle it

I’m a benelli fan. I’m not saying they r the best, I just love them. I shot a beretta a-400 and it was awesome! It’s probably next on the list. The duck dynasty commercials when I was younger wired into my brain and I’m not gonna even lie about it

Yea I’m pretty excited! I’m a shotgun gun. Enjoy shooting rifles and pistols but I love shotguns. You can do so much with a shotgun.

My buddy is on a shotgun kick as well. Probably not helping my addiction.

Funny story really. My buddy started with a Winchester sx-4 and loved it. Bought a beretta a-400 and really liked it but had it in his head he wanted a browning maxus. Sold the beretta within a week of buying it. Now he has the Browning and regrets selling the A-400 and buying a higher end gun. Said he should have stuck with the sx4. This is all within like two week period. He’s having cycling issues with his browning but we’re not sure it’s not just the “break in” period

Do you use that as a generic term or do you shoot actual skeet?

I'm a die-hard skeet And trap shooter...
NSSA and ATA.
Yea not gonna lie I’m not that cool! I use it as a general term. Sorry to disappoint hahaha not even super sure I could tell you the difference…
