I’ve got a brand new saddle that I really like. Though, the webbing is a rather reflective material. It seems like a common saddle material, Has anyone found a solution?

Generations of hunters have harvested animals with stainless steel barrels. Dont worry too much about it. With that said, paint or get anything you feel look cool. Have fun with it, or even just because you want to, confident in your gear in any aspect increase the enjoyment of the experience.

All those things make sense...

Deer are incredibly savvy. Reflective materials and shiny surfaces draw attention. Everything I can do to go unnoticed improves my odds for success.

I’ve seen a number of new saddles on the market that utilize incredibly reflective materials. A saddle I recently purchased appears to be very neutral colors in the photographs. Even indoors, the belt appeared rather low profile. But out in the light of day the webbing has a reflective sheen that simply doesn’t appear elsewhere in a natural landscape. Bucks notice changes and things out of place. I don’t want to stand out.

With duck hunting it's common to mud an A frame or layout blind when the materials are new to dull them out so they can be concealed better.

This is what I did if you want to try it. I was happy with result.

This is great, thank you!

I recently contacted the saddle maker and asked them if soaking my saddle, or parts of it in dye made from walnut husks would have any negative impact, or void warranty. They said it should be just fine and gave a thumbs up. I was thinking of using the Walnut to get similar results as you have achieved.
